GRAPE/RESOURCE Online Workshop 1-3 July 2020

WHY: In light of the cancellation of the SCAR Open Science Conference 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you are hereby invited to participate in an online workshop on topics related to the SCAR Expert Group GRAPE (www.grape.scar.org/) and to the new Proposal Planning Group (PPG) RESOURCE “Radio Sciences Research on AntarCtic AtmosphEre”. RESOURCE aims to gather the communities that investigate the polar atmosphere, with particular reference to Antarctica but with a bi-polar perspective, especially by means of radio probes, into a common shared initiative.

You are kindly invited to register for the workshop to give your valuable contribution.

WHEN: The workshop will take place on 1-3 July 2020, 13:00-15:00 GMT each day, via Google Meet. The link will be sent with the confirmation of registration. To participate, registration (free of charge) is mandatory.

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS AND PRESENTATIONS

In order to facilitate and encourage the participants to contribute to the discussions around common studies/investigations, authors are kindly asked to highlight the following aspects in their presentations:

  • current gaps in data/knowledge on their research topic,
  • next steps beyond the state-of-the-art,
  • potential of international collaboration to facilitate and support the next steps.

Please prepare one pdf file containing the presentation (file size not to exceed 10 MB). The name of the file should be: Last name of first author_session number.pdf, e.g. Alfonsi_Session1.pdf

If presentations include published materials, please ensure compliance with one of the following options: a) open-access content distributed under a Creative Commons License, or b) public domain works not protected by copyright, or c) permission has been obtained from the publisher. In all cases, do ensure correct attribution with full citation of the original source.

Please note that your pdf will remain online on the GRAPE website. By uploading your presentation material, you grant SCAR the right to keep your material online for viewing and download by individuals participating in the workshop.
